re: proposed new slogan for the USPS.

Privacy is like last night's ephemeral dream. Stamporama and all of its nether regions lie fully exposed. IDs and PWs
are mere stepping stones to your sancta sanctorum.

Even my local police force can read letters without having to open them - a procedure adopted from the RCMP, who borrowed it from the Yanks, who copied it from the Russians, who stole it from heaven knows where.

Wish I'd kept that childhood spy kit (ordered with a mail-in coupon on the back of a box of breakfast cereal fortified with sugar) as it had everything needed to defeat today's electronic sleuths: invisible ink and writing pen with built-in stainless-steel eversharp knife blade; collapsible periscope for seeing around corners and over window sills; secret code book with special decoder; fixed-focus,non-reflective plastic-lens binoculars with adjustable neck cord; waterproof magnetic compass; washable vigilante bandana; unbreakable mirror for signalling fellow-urban guerrillas: and a one-size-fits-all finger ring with miniature fold-out magnifying glass (still got it) for examining postage stamps when not used for frying ants.

Simpler times, simpler lives, when Big Brother Government hadn't yet grown to full size, nor turned mean.

re: proposed new slogan for the USPS.

have mentioned this before but every stamp collector is flagged by the NSA as soon as they mention "C4". we're all on a terrorist watch list.
Also of interest to them will be "gun stamps", "target cancels" & "bullet perfs".
