I'll take a look at it Michael.

FYI, it happened again as I just logged in.
Hi Michael,
When you go to Stamporama, prior to logging on and establishing who you are, the program makes it's best guess at who you are by looking at the IP address that you are connected to the internet with and using it to see who was last connected to Stamporama from that IP address. So, if your internet provider has given you a new IP address since you last logged into SOR, your new IP address could have been used by someone else and they could have had a message waiting for them in the system. Internet providers reassign IP address on a fairly regular basis. In researching this issue I discovered that your username has been related to 63 IP addresses that we know of. There could have been more that have been over written by other members as the internet provider reassigns IP addresses. Everytime you login to SOR the program re-establishes the current IP address that you are using so that next time you come back it can look to see if you have any messages waiting.
I hope that makes sense.
Regards ... Tim.
Tim, thanks for checking on this. What you said does make sense. My son is also a member here, and he logs in using his account, but accessing my IP. That could explain that as well. It was a mystery to me, but cleared up now.
Yes Michael, two members using the one IP address would definitely give you what you are seeing.
Regards ... Tim.
Just curious here. It has happened several times recently when I come to the SOR homepage the system tells me that there is a new message waiting for me to read. When I log in, that disappears and there is no message to read.
