Well it seems that the great grand dad to many of our postal systems is going private. I wonder what implications this will have on us collectors. I hope it is minimal to none.

While I am glad somebody else is doing the test run I think it will work out well. In most cases of efficiency a 10 year old can do a better job than any government. I think services will be improved and costs lessened. Curious if govt will retain stamp production or if that will go the way of labels such as UPS or FedEx uses.

I'd challenge that commonly held assertion, Jere, hopefully just a casual hyperbole, but it would probably develop into an avoidable political discussion.

Haven´t they tried that before without any luck back in the 1980s before reverting back to being owned by the state? Surprise
