I have just sorted out several with this different type of microprinting. I think it was one of the later booklet issues. The year date is smaller and a little darker and the microprinting is thinner and fainter. By stamp color, I have found microprinting as follows:
Light green trees - lower right corner of stamp on the bottom of the white stripe
Dark green trees - top of the flagpole under the collar
Gold trees - on the tree to the left of the word "forever" (not totally sure on this one as it is a little smudged but there is definitely something there)
Gray trees - bottom left tree just under the lowest red stripe of the flag
Can anyone confirm which company printed these?
Sally
"Can anyone confirm which company printed these?"
Recently while sorting and ID'ing the 2013 4 seasons Trees and Flags I have noticed a new variety not noted in 2014 Scott Specilized. All of these stamps 4778-4785 should have "usps" located either on the upper left side or the lower left side of each issue. I have found 2 copies which have no "usps" on the left top or bottom! A "usps" is located on what appears to be 4778 or 4782 in the lower right side corner in the narrow white field on the extreme right corner of the flag.
The 2nd image:
Both of these "USPS" appear to be very light black. Are they counterfiet?
Anyone else have reports of this variety?
Thanks Mitch.
