The centering on the R100c $25.00 mortgage is very nice, one of the better one's I've seen. So is the R102c $200.00. Very nice Thanks for sharing.
Nice to see those stamps. I used to have an extensive US revenue collection. (Here comes the bad story.) I decided to trim my collection down, partly due to money needs at the time, and sold the revenues through the APS Sales Division. One of the books got lost in a circuit mailing. It included imperfs of the $25 and $200 stamps, among others. They weren't worth anywhere close to what they catalog for today, however. The end of the story is that the APS insurance fund paid me for the loss, so I wasn't out anything, but they are rare, and I hope that instead of being lost and trashed by the post office that someone actually took them so that they are not gone to the hobby.

Can we anticipate a tutorial on silk paper?
I could, But I won't. I will however refer you to another revenue collectors webpage. Dan has done an OUTSTANDING job of explaning how to identify the "silks." (wit lots of examples) So, why reinvent the wheel.
Go here instead http://www.revenue-collector.com/1stissuesilkpapers.shtml
Dan's website is a must bookmark for anyone interested in the 1st-3rd Issue Revenues.

What a terrific site! Would you please go to the Links section and post the link to Revenue-Collector.com? I will see that it is activated immediately!

No problem, will do so immediately. I have known Dan for a bunch of years. He has an awesome collection.

Thank you Eric-another super display/explanation

There was mention of how to boost board participation a bit ago and I do have to add my two cents not only about that thread but about this one.
This is why I do not give my opinion about subjects. This is way over my head and I had no idea about silk paper with Revenues. This is how I learn, by reading or lurking on the boards.
Now, I will be going over all of my Revenues and see what I have and need to correct.
Thank you for posting this and teaching this young one to stamps I have so much more to learn.

I learned a long time ago, when chatting on boards you best be wearing a fire suit cause you will say something someone will take the wrong way and you will get blasted! So I'm not offended and personally love the sarcasm.
If one doesn't know the questions to ask, then how does one know what to ask? Hence the lurking until the time comes that hey I don't understand, having a momentary lapse of reason 'splain it again.

I was not meaning this in a bad way. I know we have a great group here, known several for a couple years now. I guess I was just trying to convey that what is written is not taken too seriously. And yes, if I know what questions to ask, I will ask. Lots of help here.
Wonderful that I can take a little time to catch up
on some reading and add to the brain power.
Thanks Eric !
Lets start with the middle, the Dollar values.
$2 through $5
And of course the BIG Boys.
The 1st 2 have been replaced, just not in my book yet. (need another pkg. of mounts)
