The centering on the R100c $25.00 mortgage is very nice, one of the better one's I've seen. So is the R102c $200.00. Very nice Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see those stamps. I used to have an extensive US revenue collection. (Here comes the bad story.) I decided to trim my collection down, partly due to money needs at the time, and sold the revenues through the APS Sales Division. One of the books got lost in a circuit mailing. It included imperfs of the $25 and $200 stamps, among others. They weren't worth anywhere close to what they catalog for today, however. The end of the story is that the APS insurance fund paid me for the loss, so I wasn't out anything, but they are rare, and I hope that instead of being lost and trashed by the post office that someone actually took them so that they are not gone to the hobby.

Yes, R97 through R102 are extreamly difficult to find with good centering!

This is the 2nd time building a Revenue collection. I sold mine as To pay off school loans. I even HAD both Rugs! I should have kept those!

I could, But I won't. I will however refer you to another revenue collectors webpage. Dan has done an OUTSTANDING job of explaning how to identify the "silks." (wit lots of examples) So, why reinvent the wheel.

There was mention of how to boost board participation a bit ago and I do have to add my two cents not only about that thread but about this one.
This is why I do not give my opinion about subjects. This is way over my head and I had no idea about silk paper with Revenues. This is how I learn, by reading or lurking on the boards.
Now, I will be going over all of my Revenues and see what I have and need to correct.
Thank you for posting this and teaching this young one to stamps I have so much more to learn.

Reading is good! But asking about what you don't know or understand can make the reading even better!!

Why not? What’s the worst that can happen? A disagreement, like that will never happens in your life (or mine). Or even worse you might be incorrect. Imagine what would happen in a world where people were afraid to comment, or ask a question, due to fear of being wrong. People have fought long and hard for that right, use it.
YES, the above is loaded with sarcasm and left handed humor. Please take it as such! As no insult to anyone is intended!!
The moral of the diatribe is:
Ask, Give opinion's, personally I know I don't mind at all!

I learned a long time ago, when chatting on boards you best be wearing a fire suit cause you will say something someone will take the wrong way and you will get blasted! So I'm not offended and personally love the sarcasm.
If one doesn't know the questions to ask, then how does one know what to ask? Hence the lurking until the time comes that hey I don't understand, having a momentary lapse of reason 'splain it again.

I think you find that SOR is an exception to that rule. I have only been for a few months myself but have NOT seen or even heard of any criticism or Blasting of other members thats left for the steam room!!!

I was not meaning this in a bad way. I know we have a great group here, known several for a couple years now. I guess I was just trying to convey that what is written is not taken too seriously. And yes, if I know what questions to ask, I will ask. Lots of help here.
