Having taken what I need from these collections, disposing of the residue?, do I break them up into countries or try and dispose as one bundle?
Can you learned people enlighten me?

It's going to depend on how much you want to get for the stamps, and how much time and effort you're willing to put into the task.
Selling one stamp at a time is very time consuming, especially for minimal valued stamps. Bulk lots can sell quickly, at times, but the per-stamp pricing must be very low, again, especially if the bulk lot consists primarily of minimal valued stamps. The approval book function newly implemented here is a great and easy way to sell off surplus material. You can get a little bit more for a single stamp than you would in a bulk lot (for minimal valued stamps). If you have stamps with higher catalog values, then you'll have to decide if you want to go the approval book route, or put the stamps in the auction.

Michael beat me to the answer. - the Approval Books are awesome and they are quick to put together. You can easily set up a book at $0.05 or $0.10 a stamp or whatever you want and I bet you'll find buyers to get rid of all the extras. It's really fun to put together a book and after a few mistakes, it becomes a lot easier.

After returning from a 30 year absence from philately, (mind boggling is the word as to how many stamps have been produced since 1983). After purchasing some albums on e-bay etc, the stock cards are filling.
