Who gives a flip about the stamps as long as you are safe!!! Best to you and ask of me anything I can do to assist you.
Bobby
Hi
I don't think there is anything more scary than having your home on fire. Very glad you made it out safely. Everything else is pretty well replaceable. All the best.
Gro
Good grief! I read about this after there being a fire here that dispossessed the homeowner. SO GLAD you are OK. I know what you mean about the stamps--they're family after all, right?
Roger
for sure. most important thing is you are OK ! all our little bits of history are nothing compared to friends.
be well and hope you back home soon.
Happy yo hear you are OK.
The community got together like wouldn’t believe! Redcross, and a lot of the big restaurants donated a lot of food. I have free rent in a fancy motel (with a weak wy-fi) for a month or longer if need. It is nice but it not like being in my apartment with my stamps.
I was even on the king 5 news last wed. It was only 15 seconds long (not 15 minutes of fame that I would have liked). They just ask what I was going through being homeless. The news was on all the main news in the northwest. But I still want my stampbuddys and stamps. I am board to tears!
O well it will give me time to read this discussion board that I did not have before.
Thanks again for your support!

Glad to hear that you are safe, and getting taken care of. That's the important part.
I had the experience of fire once when a burgler ignited my place to cover up the burglary, terrible experience...it takes some time but you'll get through it, Thank God you're safe.
Is there anything you need? Anything we can help you get?
You ask if you can get something. Yes you can get me another mind, I am going out of this one. I am board to tears. I can't get to my stamps. If Carl did not have stampahoulic I am it.
You all are keeping my spirits up. If you do not mind my corny jokes.
your stampbudy

Fire away, Jerry. If I can put up with David's puns, I can take any corny joke you can throw my way! Â
So what is your favorite one liner?
I'll start:
A farmer in the field with his cows counted 196 of them, but when he rounded them up he had 200.
The dyslexic devil worshipper sold his soul to Santa.
Dyslectics untie!
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station..
The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!
OK folk. Jerry and I started something we shouldn't have. This section of the discussion board is appropriate for Jerry's original post and for replies sending him our support, but not as a "joke board" (and a pretty lame one at that)
To show Jerry how much we love him, and are willing to suffer to provide entertainment for him, I am starting a new post in the "Off Topic: Non Philatelic Discussion" section titled: "Relieving Jerry's Boredom, or Helping Bottom_Fish cope in a Stampless World." Join me there!

Jerry, glad you are ok. Better to be bored than injured. Keep your spirits up! Sally
A prayer to find all is well when you get home, Jerry....
Mike
LOVE THE JOKES=I NEEDED THAT!
I am looking for the joke board, that would be funnnnny.
Thanks again!

Geez! Jerry! Glad you are all right! Sorry! I just saw this. Hey! The Red Cross is the only people/ organization that helped us at all.
I thought of you Carl when this happened. We have 2 little towns Aberdeen and Hoquiam together with one street. Think of them as Mayberry with Andy Griffith. When any thing happens like this the hole community helps out. Olympia is about a hundred mile away, and the big restaurants gave us mealsWhen we were in our apartments we had buy our own food. Now in our motels they give us cooked meals free right to our rooms.. The state is paying for the motel rent for 30 days or more if needed and we do not have to pay for our apartment rent while we are out of the apt.
Nice just laying on a king size bed in a $150.00 a knight motel room with a beautiful view . There is a trail that goes by my window so people can walk it and see the river, today I had 2 Canadian geese eating and resting only 10 feet from my window. They were there for about 1/2 hr. I took pictures and videos of them with my phone.
BUT I WANT MY STAMPS! I would give all this up if I can just get to my stamps.
There is a lot of people here that is worse off then I am, so I am happy they are getting this help. They deserve it.
Just like Carl this is an adventure that we can tell our children and grandchildren for the rest of our lives.
Write Carl?
Keep the jokes coming!
Your Stampbuddy.

I had to move to a motel because we had a fire in the
manor. We had only 4 hrs to move out of our
apartments. We have 61 apartments to evacuate. It may
take 2 weeks before we can get to our apts.
None of the stamps got damaged.
I am sorry I can’t get to the stamps until I can get
back to the apt.
