An email from Tim this morning helped me come up with a new plan. I think Tim and Antonio should come with next month and save me from myself. I know Antonio for one is quite skilled at outbidding me..........or I could just remember my want list.

Yeah, at this point the list I carry is what I already have. I did pick up a few covers at the show, including one from Inez, MN and one postmarked at the Minnesota State Sanitarium (for consumptives). I didn't know they had their own post office.

Antonio & Tim,
You should seriously consider the next meeting. Since it is on the opposite end of the earth for the three of us maybe we could meet for dinner first?

Last night I went to my first meeting for the Minnesota Postal History group. I have been meaning to go for years. They had a small auction of mainly Minnesota covers. The prices ranged from $1.00 to $75.00 per cover. The auction had 50 lots. I won seven lots for a grand total of $21.00. When I got home I discovered that I already had cancellations from six of the seven cities represented. You would think that after all these years I would learn to travel with wants lists to avoid duplication.
