When I first looked at the stamp, I think I just assumed it was KGV. But of course it is KEVII. Just not used to him looking so regal.

The 2008 Barefoot Catalogue lists it for the same value (50p) but the date reference is 1909/29; it is listed as Typo perf 11.5-12 watermark NSW sideways. There are two other entries under the same image but I would assume that these stamps would feature KGV, not KEVII, given the dates:

#82, 1914 issue same perf but with Wmk Crown A (often inverted); 25p.
#102, 1917 issue same perf but with no watermark and with olive green underprint NSW (sideways, reading up, under the portrait); GBP 100.

Note that these valuations are for used stamps; mint stamp duty stamps do not necessarily fetch higher values.

Cheers,
Peter
