I'm looking at the bids on lot #865425. I placed a proxy bid on this lot and looking at the current history, I see that a bidder bid up to my proxy bid and then that bidder's bid was lowered. I was under the impression that you can't mess around with the bids out of curiosity and then bump it back some. Or am I incorrect on this? Just check the history of the bids for this lot and the times.

re: This bidding process

That's weird. Tim, our webmaster will have to answer this question. I'm curious as to what happened here! A bidder and seller cannot change the bids as far as I'm aware.

re: This bidding process

That is a weird one. The $10 bid at Fri 8th August 2014 15:02:20 should not have been able to be placed. The high bid showing should have been $11.11 at that time, with a minimum new bid of $11.61 (50c increment).

re: This bidding process

So, how do I contact the webmaster to see if this has an answer? I tried to contact via the Webmaster link on the bottom of each page but my computer keeps asking if I want to use outlook which I don't have installed and have no desire to. I tried sending a message to "ADMIN" but have received no reply as of yet. Hints????

re: This bidding process

I took a look at this and on the surface of things, can't see any reason for it. I'll take another look this weekend. In the mean time, please watch to see if you can see any other situations like this.

Regards ... Tim.

I'd bet it has something to do with the amount bid ---$11.11 --- and the program interpreted it as something else.
