I hang onto them now, instead of cutting/soaking them off cover to add to my used PNC single collection (very modest collection).
But I don't really collect them on cover. I sort of toss the covers in a bin and accumulate them. I really should write the date of receipt in pencil on the back for the ones that arrive uncancelled (or for pre-cancels).
I do save the entire cover whenever one crosses my path. Finding one can make me almost grateful for some junk mail! I was putting one cover in the binders next to the mint strips and used singles, but that seems to be so bulky and awkward. I might keep those separate - it is still a work in progress (as is 90% of my collections! LOL)
I have some duplicates and --eventually -- I'll probably put those in the auction. I'll try to remember to message the three of you when I get around to listing those.
I'll never forget when I first learned of pncs - back in the 18c era. Our local paper ran a small weekly stamp column (remember those?) The title of that little article was "get your hands on these little numbers!" It was good advice!
I am now an accumulator of PNCs on cover. At one time i was a fairly serious PNC collector.... Strips, used singles, PV varieties, on cover usage, tagging varieties. But recent changes in PNC production rules by USPS has wrung the joy out of it, and I've sold off the bulk of it. Still, i have special affinity for PNCs on cover... I just dont ID them like i used to do

I was just curious if anyone wanted the rare stray that crosses my path. I have 2 or 3 of them - all legit postal usage. Not looking to sell, just want to pass them along. I have a donation box I put interesting stamps in and donate to a local stamp club from time to time, so I'll just drop them in there if nobody is actively after them here.

I have been accumulating these for some time. I have done a couple of "rough sorts" to try to organize them but before I get beyond that something else grabs my attention. Never thought of myself as ADD but maybe I am--I'm in the midst of a really intricate problem and "oh look, a squirrel!"

Anybody out there that collects PNC singles of contemporary issues on cover?
