May he rest in peace and my condolences to his family.

Tim,
I saw his wife Susan yesterday. She was remarkably well and seems at peace with his passing. It is hard to watch someone suffer. David was a good friend to me and to philately locally. He will be missed by many. I gave Susan a big long hug with no words spoken. Later when we spoke she said there would be no religious ceremony as that was not David. She is planning a party to celebrate his life out at their place with a pig roast, fireworks, games, good wine, good friends and good food. That was very much David's deal.

A life well lived is to be celebrated, not mourned. There is grief and sadness, yes, but there are also happy memories, anecdotal stories and delight in having known such individuals.
I want to let you all know that David Bushard (Androcles) passed away last night at 2:00am. David had been fighting cancer for several months.
David was the visionary and driving force behind the Northern Philatelic Library. The Library will go on, David saw to that, but we will miss him dearly. He was a good friend.
Regards ... Tim.
