According to a little snippet on an Italian website, the first TB charity stamp was used 'between the wars', maybe the second one too.
If I'm reading the date correctly, this cover shows the date April ( or September) 1919. The inscription Anno XII E-F, may indicate 1913 but this is may refer to something else:
If I've mangled the date, I'm sure I'll be corrected.
These only have nominal value as cinderellas.
The date on the CDS does not make much sense to me but the purple postage stamp was not issued until 1929.
That CDS date doesn't make sense to me either, more so that the envelope has a telephone number on it (1919?).
I have found two of these labels on Delcampe from an Italian seller. These are listed as being from 1935, which fits in with what Antonius has just posted.
My completely unqualified opinion:
12{00}-13{00} (hour)
16 IX {September}
1941 XIX {19th year of ... the 'reign' of Mussolini}
With a nickel, that'll get you on one of those trolleys Benito made run on time.
Cheers,

"1941 XIX {19th year of ... the 'reign' of Mussolini}"
the top seal is from 1934, and, according to Green's, is Italy 4.1x, with the letter determined by the color scheme (a through j replacing X). My 1983 edition (the most recent) values each at 50c. There were subsequent printings with similar values, and they are listed as 4.2- 4.4
the second seal is Italy 5, valued at 75c. Clive's cover, with its tied, in-period seal, will command several multiples of that price.

The cover I posted was from the Italian site which mentioned the 'inter war years'. Does anybody know what ANNO XIII E.F. refers to?
i think if we subtract 1935 from 1941
and XIII from XIX,
we get the same number: 6 (VI)
According to the Teballa Cronologica Dell'era Fascista (see how that just rolls off my keyboard!):
the inscription refers to this range of dates within the Fascist era:
Anno XIII E.F. 28 ottobre 1934-27 ottobre 1935
Clive,
utter poetry
Il Duce, scourge of TB and Ethopia
David
then he did better with Mafia than with Ethopia, where he accomplished little
I found these in a Scott Int'l. Junior Stamp Album Copyright 1933 Blue Tooled Cover..Is there any value here? Also I'd be interested in what year they are from. Thanks
