Welcome, Scott! Always great to see another world wide collector in our midst. There are several of us around. Maybe more than you think. Check out the site, and enjoy the hobby!
Welcome Scott, its very difficult to break the worldwide collecting habit, when i go to shows i usually end up buying mainly covers...but the old Scott Internationals seem to keep challenging me to add to the sparse pages..and its so easy to look at the auction and approvals here .
Hi Scott and welcome to SOR from another that has started weaning his scope of collecting. Enjoy your time here.
Mike
Greetings Scott,
I used to collect World Wide myself, still have the stamps and enjoy them very much. But I focus on Great Britain and Australia now. Still find myself collecting other countries now and then as the mood strikes. Hong Kong stamps for example - West meets East and the resulting stamps look great. Interesting and exotic history as well, and somewhat tawdry.
Cheers,
Eric
Welcome, Scott!
We look forward to hearing more about what direction your collecting interests will turn. I started WW, narrowed down to a dozen or so countries, but I am back up to around 30.

I too am a worldwide collector - and I also specialise in postally used GB Machins and some other complex definitives like Norway posthorns and Denmark wavy lines.
I find the ww collection relaxes me when the specialist stuff starts to give me a headache (Cue Monty Python "My Brain Hurts" !!).
Just to make life more difficult I alo collect legible postmarks which leads to much wikipedia time.
Now I am retired I find that the intellectual stretching required does me good - although it leads to a lack of exercise!!
Post whatever questions you like - remember the only stupid question is the one you are too nervous to ask.
Welcome
Malcolm
Welcome Scott! I'm in the Dallas area and collect worldwide too. Enjoy your time here and all the best to you.
Hello everyone,
My name is Scott and I am new to StampoRama. I have been collecting stamps off and on since my mother got me started collecting when I was around five years old. Still, I would consider myself an advanced beginner. :-) I collect worldwide and can't imagine ever not collecting worldwide. Recently, however, I have been thinking about focusing more on certain areas to perhaps move my beginner collection into a little more depth for some countries. I have always enjoyed stamps for geography, history, biography, flora, fauna, and so much more that they introduce into your intellectual life. Recently, my interest in the art design and printing of stamps has been growing too.
I look forward to getting to know some of you online and sharing our interests.
Scott
