Hi all,

This is my first time posting here, although a few of you probably know me from eBay.

My major collecting interests have been Egypt and Luxembourg, but I've reached that unpleasant place where what I need has outpaced my budget. I also collect worldwide and am a closet collector of Austria, Malta, and maybe Greece. Too many stamps, too little time.

Anne, I'm sure there's a story behind the interesting collection of countries that interest you. Can't wait to hear.

re: New here

Thanks to everyone for the welcome.

Here's my stamp collecting history:

I started out as a kid because my grandfather and a friend's brother were doing it. My grandparents on my mother's side were from Luxembourg, which is where that interest came from. Egypt and Greece came from the fact that I wanted to be an archaeologist in 4th grade (only kid in the class that could spell it). Austria came about because I liked their art nouveau style of the stamps (not that I knew the term) and the costume stamps. Malta came about a few years back after a trip there. At any rate, I put the albums away after high school and came back to them a decade or so back. I was lucky to have a brick and mortar store about a mile from the house at the time , and I learned a lot there and from the eBay Stamp board in its heyday.

I also suffer from stamp collecting attention disorder. I work on one thing and then ooh pretty and I'm off on something else. I love the designs and the history.
