I told my wife that I wanted the USPS Annual Set including mail-use and high-value stamps!
That's a double gift!
Easy for her.
Lot's of stuff I don't have to allocate my personal funds for.
Lars
Lars, so, you ARE back to collecting current USPS
I've already been much too good to myself!
I said I was gonna stop buying through the holidays
Then I saw a nice $2 Columbian I thought I'd put a low bid on....
and so it goes!
Socks Phil, you need sock... and underwear!
And don't forget to get your mailman a pack of these!
Its ok Tom, cruelty is acceptable in my world..but i could use 3 pr of woolen socks. Do you have any use for a 1902 postal card Rockaway New Jersey ?
Let's just say I made some dealers at FLOREX VERY happy...

Hopefully Santa will bring me a new Scott Classic catalog this year
I've been trying to get my wife to buy me the 2018 H E Harris catalog for Christmas to go with my 2017 1840-1940 Scott Classic catalog that I bought for myself earlier this year from an auction as an upgrade for my 2006 version.
I have been heavy into Canada purchases this year as well and just recently completed from Scott # 122 through the year 1978 with back of the book completed except for F3 which I must be too cheap for on my auction bids. Other than the Jubilee issues I am down to 20 stamps left which I consider practical to collect based on their catalog values for the earlier issues from Canada. Other than the #122 stamp and earlier somehow I managed to find mint stamps for everything, well, actually there are quite a few hinged stamps so some would prefer I use the term unused and/or un-cancelled stamps.
Starting to pick up some Newfoundland issues as a follow-up to the Canada collection. Of course, I am still working on my album move from the Minkus Supreme Global albums to Scott International I through V as well and have been picking up some of the holes in pages (holes, what am I saying?, really completely empty pages that are taunting me!) here on Stamporama through the auctions mostly.

ChrisW... My wife got me the new Classic. It was delivered two weeks ago and will be wrapped under the tree. Hard to wait....
They are opening a new Hobby Lobby in town but it isn't going to make it by Christmas. I printed off the coupon but it expired.
Barnes and Noble has the 2018 now at the local store but I am TRYING to be patient, well long-suffering anyway.
Its the Christmas season and the end of the old year...i think its a good time to treat ourselves to something philatelic ! And support our fellow Stamporama sellers if possible !
