Welcome !! It is a nice distraction from the current events.
Hello Hunter58,
Welcome to SOR from sunny Fort Worth, Texas.
Jim
Welcome from Manitoba, enjoy the site and all the knowledge freely given.
Welcome to SOR! By joining, you've made the best possible choice for getting back into collecting. It's a huge step above where we were in the 70's!
WB
Welcome from sonny Florida (not so sonny today).
Eric
Welcome!
I just joined today as well.
Seems like a GREAT group!
JR
It nice to have all these new members. Also see many that are returning to the hobby or finding a hobby like stamp collecting.
Welcome to a great site and hope everyone will enjoy the many features.
From Ontario, Canada.
Doug
Welcome aboard. You're on pretty much the same track that I was (not quite 40 years, though). You'll find this lot a helpful bunch.
Welcome, Hunter!
If we can help in any way to get you rolling again, ask away!
Welcome to the SOR and back into stamp collecting. Like you mot of us started collecting around 8 years old and continued up into our teens when other things demanded our attention. Many years later we found the urge to get back into the hobby. I started in 1958 when I was 8 years old, I pretty much gave it up around 15. In 1988 I had seen that the stamp market had taken a big hit and prices were way down from where they had been in a long time. In the last 30 years the market has had some ups and downs but has for the most part stayed where they were in 1988. So I'd say this as as good a time as any. The internet has brought new life into the hobby making buying, selling and trading much much easier than it ever has been. Follow the link at the bottom of my post to see what I have accomplished in these last thirty years. You should find it a valuable reference because it shows most of the stamps the countries of the world have issued up until recently.
Got my new Mystic American Heritage albums today. A lot of fun ahead filling them up.
I recently dug out my old collection from when I was a teenager. Should have done it a long time ago!
