In 2007, Italy issued the stamp imaged below (Scott #2846)

Image Not Found

The stamp depicts the Governor's Palace in Fiume (now part of Croatia). The issuance of this stamp caused an international incident between Italy and Croatia as Croatia believed the stamp to be a political statement regarding Italy's claim to Fiume. The inscription at the top of the stamp reads (translated to English), "Fiume - Eastern Italian Land".
