Driving accross the Hudson to go to the "Y" i see a tugboat pushing a barge up the river. Not a sign of any ice. When i was a young fool in the 60's they used to have ice boat races on the river in the winter. The generation before that walked over the ice from what is now Tivoli to Saugerties to visit and go to church.

Hi all,

I just noticed that the guys (girls too?) were out ice fishing on the lakes recently, so apparently the ice is good enough.

First time I saw them this year.

My perception is that we have had a milder winter in Southern Michigan, but reality may be different... Big Grin

February this year here in Truckee 2" of snow (with no more snow forecast for next 7 days) making it the driest February on record. Last year February saw 300" of snow making it the snowiest month ever. What a deviation!
