I was watching the yearly Memorial day ceremony from D.C. we were there in person in 2006 when they had the huge stamp show..Anyway they were honoring the living Tuskegee airmen and there was my base commander Col. Chuck McGee still alive..God bless him. He stayed in the Air Force after the war and was the American base commander at the missle site i was on in Southern Italy. At one time I had report not only to the First sergeant but to the Colonel himself...he did not know quite what to do with me...but he was a Gentleman.
