Good afternoon

Im a new member to StampoRama. I started collecting when I was 5. US and general foreign. Used to take my monthly allowance and head to the local stamp store and spend HOURS browsing through the penny bins and .25 cover box. I sporadically collected through my teens and rediscovered it in my 20's. I found Ebay when there was 2,000 total auctions a week across all catagories. At the time, stamps were a large portion of what was sold on Ebay. That brought me into the world of buying and selling. 200+ auctions a week and I paid off all my debt and expanded my collection and collecting interests. Marriage and 2 kids i have had to put it aside. I tried to reenter selling on Ebay but found fraud was rampant. Fast forward another 10 years and here I am.

re: Hello

Welcome, i remember 1998 i did not even have a scanner and i was selling stamps and covers left and right by description only. It was a different world back then, what they charge for shipping today makes it hard to find a bargain.

re: Hello

Whem i started ebay there were no fees. then they were .10. It was a big deal when they raised it to .25. items needed to be listed for 1.00 or more really to make a profit
