I made in error on a catalog number and the stamp received a bid. I notified the bidder of my mistake and tried to change the descripton to warn others but no luck ? What happens now ?

If the buyer still wants the stamp, perhaps agree a price and then adjust the invoice accordingly.
If the stamp is not now wanted, adjust the invoice to remove cost, then relist the stamp with the correct details.
