I know, I know, I know, I know. never. ever have a drink at the same level or above your stamps. Lucky for me only a small coffee stain on the bottom of some of the pages of my Scott National album. I left a half a cup of coffee on my desk this morning, and later today went in to grab a set of keys in the dark room and found the coffee cup, with my paws, amazing how much 3 ounces can cover a desk and drawers in a nano second. Many a curse words were yelled out during the flood. Just don't do it!!

re: Stamps and coffee

My sweetheart used to need 2 cups of coffee intravenously before her heart would start beating. She was an owl, I was/am a lark. She a city gal, me a mountain man. High society vs. a rural rube. Clearly such a union could never last. 60 years later my love ascended. And every morning, over coffee, we unite anew.

Some of us stick to beer and wine.
Of course a glass of red wine will do the same damage as a cup of coffee.
So far I've only had a beer spill with no damage to report.

re: Stamps and coffee

Having a long history in very expensive computers, I am accustomed to keeping any liquid far away from what I'm working on. It's become second nature.

I once watched a young lady dump a large Coke into the keyboard of an AutoTrol CAD station back in the early 1980s. Not a pretty thing!

re: Stamps and coffee

As I age I notice I am becoming more clumsy. This wasn't a fault I had while working when younger which could have been both costly and embarrassing. I began to notice this a few years back when talking at the club bar and using my hands to make a point I was regularly knocking over my beer. I noticed that the bar staff were keeping a bar towel close to my position. I suspected it was the fault of the beer even though it could occur at the very start of the evening. Now that theory has been disproved as I often drop things and tip over cups. I had better stay away for expensive equipment.
