I have noticed a second wave of new people here that were not from the BS refugee camps.
Howdy to all, y'all!

Hi Carl...Yep, there has been a number of us old Stampoffer/Wensy people sign up or reactivate our old memberships here as of late. Since Wensy bought out the old Stampoffers site about 2 years ago, a lot of us miss the old chat board and auction which was about 99% stamp-related. Also, the site has had major listing and other programming problems of late, making it hard to use.
Most of the people you see signing up still maintain a presence on Wensy but they have made more stamp related posts here at Stamporama, just like in the old days of Stampoffers. There are a few more who might wander over here as time goes on.
I myself, will not be listing anything new on Wensy, and will just let what I have there naturally end. All my material will now be listed here as time permits. I really like the changes and improvements done to the auction program and the monitoring of the discussion boards to keep them on a friendly basis, as they should be. I will be inviting some of my past customers to join us on Stamporama and hope they do take up the invite.

Hi Mike, same here, I let Wensy run out whats on and list no new items there either.
Same I try with my buyers to come here.

Hey Carl...who are you calling Crazy ??????????????????
Soon there may be a mass exodus from stamp community forum SCF
Hello and welcome,
It seams that all the natives are restless on many different sites.
Ross
Golovacz: Yes!! We need King Tott.
Manfred: Nice to see you here!! Is the coffee on?
Nice to be here.

"Soon there may be a mass exodus from stamp community forum SCF"
Jack,
Welcome to SOR and glad to see you participating in the DB. As far as the auction goes, you will find it is the simplest, easiest to use and user friendly, all thanks to our resident wizard, Tim Auld. You will thank him every time you list an item and wonder why you haven't been on SOR longer than you have.
Mike
It's hard to make everybody happy, but really easy to piss people off.
Some of you, I've bumped into before at the other sites.
Welcome (back), everybody!

" .... Some of you, I've bumped into before at the other sites. ...."
That sounds ominous.
There has not been a mass Exodus from SCF, nor is there likely to be. Many members there are also here and elsewhere, I have no doubt that most of us are members at many places.
In all those places, bad things happen, that's life. But we must all get over it and move on.
I was going to join this group a year ago but something happened. I wanted to be closer to my friend Charlie who I knew was a top poster. Now I am here but I have not left anywhere to be here, save for an auction shift from Wensy which is not comparable.
It my wildest dream, I have this huge excitement that all the good Stamp forums on the Internet will come together and be as one.
That would be hugely exciting.
Anyway back to reality.......
Londonbus1 I Think you will see many of the older members not posting, yes they might not leave but wont be as active as once were.
There is only so much people can put up with, sure some will pop up from time to time .
But with the way posts are completely removed with no reason I think members have had enough. The total removal of the auction with no explanation was a total joke.
I had one auction and the post was totally removed, instead of editing out the neg comments and locking it as I thought would be the proper way.
That site has gone so much down hill and no matter what anyone does it cant be fixed. History is a record of the future.
Now off to scan some stamps and post some Auctions here
Jack,
I understand your feelings and we have had some nice private exchanges lately which I appreciate very much.
Regarding your auction, it was I who had the post removed as I was in disbelief that 3 good and true threads were deleted and not the offender. I demanded it.
As I said in my previous post, there are problems everywhere and it is up to us to overcome them. Read through the posts here and you will see my point. Even stamp collectors don't agree with each other all the time.
Good luck with the auctions.
" on or about June 16th there appears to be a mass exodus from Wensy (formerly Stampoffers). I count at least 10 acquaintances/ friends from there"
Don't forget SCF...
It might not be "mass exodus", but as more us come here and post, it will make this site more active, while less activity on the other site will be a draw to even more people to come here. Just remember: Activity breeds activity.
"Don't forget SCF..."
Sorry.
I can be good at that.
lol
That's what happens when some people forget what it was that made their web sites run.

BUT YOU CAN'T COMB YOUR HAIR WITH A STICK OF RHUBARB... I think it was Confiutuos???
Golovacz...Richard, I think you are confused ????
I'm keeping an eye on Moses and the Israelites from a safe distance. If for no other reason, than to see if Pharaoh is cast into the sea. Meanwhile, I'll just dip my feet into the waters to see if I like it. Lots of familiar people here that I enjoy no matter where the wind takes us!

Yes, we cannot forget sneeky!
I gave him the big SOR welcome on his introduction thread.
I was a happy Wensy buyer. It appears they have now bit the dust, they don't answer there URL
Here is an article posted about the closing of Wensy for those interested.

I wonder where those missing emails are that were mentioned in the article !
Same old.....

Just remember Michael's words,

I think folks like Meostamps ,Londonbus, David Dennis and others know folks who believed strongly in Stampoffers and contributed sizable amounts of money..thinking it had a future .
Well, I decided to join this new site, as I recognize many previous postings from the SCF site.
Not only was there a mass exodus from Bidstart, on or about June 16th there appears to be a mass exodus from Wensy (formerly Stampoffers). I count at least 10 acquaintances/ friends from there. Welcome all (even Crazy Bob of the 4 g's).have already contacted 2 of them. all are a great bunch of folks.
